HOW RELIABLE IS YOUR SOURCE?

My name is Valdo Vaccaro and my art is teaching health. As every human being I am subject to mistakes and imperfections. Therefore, in principle, do not trust me. There are in fact too many truths in circulation and, in order fo find the best opinion, the real one, the most useful for yourself personally, you have to be highly selective and prudent. You’ve got to weigh and to compare. Believing anything without sufficient proof and conviction can be a risky and unproductive strategy, especially when talking about delicate themes as health and wellbeing, basically important for our daily life.

TAKING MYSELF IN ATTENTIVE CONSIDERATION IS ANYHOW WORTHWHILE

Something very special I actually possess, and that’s why I deserve some of your time. I am motivated to teach the right things due to a long positive experience on food and behaviour, on correct life-styles, due to my free and autonomous position, as I am not on the pay book of any company and of any power or organisation. I simply claim to be judged on criteria as science, logic, good common sense, effective results on the field.

WE NEED TO SHARE THE SAME LANGUAGE ON SOME POINTS AND CONCEPTS

Nothing exists of positive and special in meat, nothing in cheese, nothing in fish and crabs, nothing in eggs, that cannot be found abundant in simple-digestable-clean-vital-fresh-innocent foods such as vegetable natural resources generously offered full hands by mother Nature. So there are thousands of reasons to be tendentially vegan-crudist and no reasons at all to be attracted by meat-based diets, where there is not only a danger for physical health, but also the involvement of an unjustified sufferance caused to other sensible creatures. Even plants are alive and suffer but, with some special care, we can limit and minimise our impact and our exploitation. In any case, we have to give priority to our basic needs and the vegetable world represents our specific and elected source of food.

SOME EXCEPTIONS ARE UNDERSTANDABLE, NECESSARY AND EVEN DESIRABLE

We don’t always have at our prompt disposal all fruits, all greens, sprouts, roots and flowers to satisfy and to reach our caloric balance, our body necessities, our taste preferences and our social requirements. That is why some casual and minor transgressions can be tolerated. In general we have got to respect a series of internal equilibriums as caloric-hydric-hormonal-mineral-vitaminic-vitalistic-vibrational-acidic. Each of these balancements has got an index, a technical reference or a formula to be respected. In example:

1) Metabolic speed index or the Ehret equation (V= P-O, velocity or vitality rate = power – obstruction),

2) Vibration and radiance index (over 6500 Angstrom on the Bovis-Simoneton scale), through raw fruits and veggies,

3) Antioxidant and Antiradical index (ORAC, Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity, over 5000 Orac per day, through flavonoids),

4) ANDI index of Joel Fuhrman (micronutrients max value 1000),

5) Protein index, not over 24 grams per day, etc. When we have done all that, putting an abundant dose of watery and vital micronutrients at our body disposal, our own organism will be able to arrange properly by itself all the remaining operations conducing to a perfect health and balance.

HEALTH IS BASICALLY A QUESTION OF FUEL

Let me propose you a question. Supposing I give you a vehicle, a car, would you stop at a water fountain to replenish the tank? Would you stop at a wine shop and fill it with red wine? Or would you maybe put diesel fuel when your car has a petrol engine or an electrical engine? For sure you’d never do such a silly mistake, unless you like to be labelled as a mental diseased. Well, the man who puts in his mouth just any kind of food, without knowing the internal mechanisms of his digestive system, without knowing the real structure and the real needs of his stomach, of his liver, of his kidneys and intestines, is doing exactly that!

ABSOLUTE NECESSITY TO KNOW YOURSELF

From all this we understand that there is an absolute necessity for us to study our body, our mind and our spirit, that is all the basic components of our organism. We cannot solve our problems by discharging them on the shoulders of third parties, no matter if they are medical doctors or nutritionists that, in the best hypothesis do not know the right answer to your personal exigences. It is not random that at the main entrance of all ancient Greek temples it was carved in stone: Know Yourself!

UNIVERSAL PRINCIPLES COMING FROM LONG AGO

The rules, the principles, the laws which I am presenting here are not belonging to a specific and particular European or Asian culture. They are simply the essence of a Universal School which has deep and safe roots in human mind, and with thousands of years of history. Very old school but not obsolete, not overcome, not all out of time. The best teachers of the past, as Pythagoras, and the best teachers of today, as the health scientists operating within the boundaries of Natural Healthy Schools, are sharing such universal principles with extraordinary success and results.

IF OUR SCHOOL IS SO BRILLIANT, HOW COME THAT THE MAJORITY FOLLOW OTHER ROADS?

It is true that at the moment the biggest slice of the world population follows the instructions and the diktats of the so-called big powers, in particular the indications of the multinationals producing meat, drugs and integrators, interested to impose their life-style and their food attitudes which are aimed to produce heavy monetary gains. The big powers are not interested at all to promote health and benefits for the humanity, for the animals and for the eco-system. Unfortunately, the only real motivation for them is to maximise their profits. They are using their huge economic power to buy everything, to buy the media, televisions, newspapers, schools, governments, parties and even banks. They need to maintain a big market with a vaste amount of trusty and obedient consumers. But, in spite of all that, the truth is progressively emerging and people are starting to realise that dead food, animal food, junk food, integrated food, unnatural food is causing serious damages to human health.

HONG KONG IS A TYPICAL EXAMPLE OF THIS BIG CHEATING

In many ways Hong Kong is a splendid international metropolis. Transport, banks, security, activities, culture, amusement, everything works at very high levels. It should represent a pearl, a great example for all Asia and for the entire world. Making money in a dynamic and brilliant society should be something fabulous and exciting. But unfortunately things are not moving well at all for its inhabitants, for today’s Honkongers. What happens? Hong Kong is deeply sick.

HALF THE POPULATION DRUGGED BY ANTIBIOTICS

From an article of Elizabeth Cheng on South China Morning Post dated November 10, 2017, the microbiologist prof Yuen Kwok-Yung, chair of Infectious Disease at the HK University, is horrified. Personally he has never taken antibiotics in the last 30 years, being aware of the serious damages that they cause to the human body and to our microbiota. But the Hongkongers, from a percentage of 35% in 2011 taking such poisons, now they passed level 50%. Prof Yuen chairs also an expert panel under the Government High Level Committee on Antimicrobial Resistance and is launching a strong alarm to all population. The 48% of Staphylococcus Aureus bacteria cases in Hong Kong is drug-resistant 4 times or 400% higher than in Britain! Misuse of antibiotics on both humans and animals is a very serious problem in Honkong and consequently in China. Farmers have been known to give healthy animals antibiotics as a prevention, even in case of simple viral accumulation. Doctors tend to prescribe antibiotics increasingly if a patient’s condition worsens. The need to free up bed space, and to get patients apparently stable and discharged from hospitals within a shorter time pushes doctors towards more medication.

THE PANIC CREATORS ARE TO BE BLAMED AND DENOUNCED

Compliments to prof Yuen for his wise and prompt intervention. But I should ask prof Yuen who is the real responsible for this horrible trend, for this massive recourse to dangerous antibiotics and other drugs, because disgraces and bad attitudes never come alone. Probably he wouldn’t be allowed to answer. In my case I am surely more free than him to explain the real situation. The fault belongs to the local Ministry of Health which in the last 15 years has promoted a continuous and furious campaign of fear and panic against bacteria, virus and contagious diseases. For years and still today, arriving at the HK Airport from abroad seems as arriving to a grand lazaret, to an emergency hospital with police and personnel wearing protective masks on their mouth. Arriving in Hk Airport has meant continuous alarms to passengers about all sort of frightening diseases. Who are the silly and irresponsible authors of these crazy and manicomial battles against innocent microorganisms? Obviously their name is to be found within the medical system guided and corrupted by Big Pharma, by the multinational of drugs, vaccines, integrators, supplements, junk food and junk drinks, by the producers of stimulant and sweetened drinks as tea and coffee, as cal and beer. This people seems to ignore the eternal truths of Natural Hygiene, and in particular the truth that establish full innocence for bacteria (alive and precious for our bio-chemical equilibrium) and for virus (totally dead matter coming mostly from physiological and normal disintegration and rechange of our cells.

IS CHANGING LIFE-STYLE A HOPELESS AMBITION?

My companion of life is Kathleen Fong and she is an hongkonger. She adopted my life-style as our two sons Francesco and William, with great results. She agrees about the alarming situation of Hongkong. But she also warns me that pretending to change the local attitudes of people could be a real utopistic task. Hongkongers are attracted by any food and by any drink in circulation. They do not like to follow rules and limitations at all.

CHINESE CANNOT IGNORE THE IMPORTANCE TO BE HEALTHY

I agree that it is not easy, but I do not think that Chinese people, enriched by Buddha teaching and also by great Masters, accept to be labelled as stupid. I don’t think that they like to damage themselves for some silly habits which can easily be avoided. I suppose that they prefer to amuse themselves by conducing a healthier and longer life, by eating more durians and more litches and more longans and coconuts from Thailand and Vietnam, more mangoes and papayas from the Philippines, more cherries from Australia and more blueberries and grapes from Chile and Peru. I suppose that they like to make more money without ending badly in hospitals under medical care.

MOUNTAINS OF ANTIBIOTICS AND RIVERS OF MILK-TEA

Let’s go back to the abuse of antibiotics. Obviously this problem is a huge one, a sort of iceberg where we can only see a minimum part emerging from the waters, while an iced-mountain is dangerously hidden under the waves, under the sea surface. Assuming antibiotics cause not only dependance, but also fatigue and depression as well, all unbearable conditions in a reality aggressive and dynamic as Hong Kong. Here comes the enormous consumption of milk-tea. Only the Mei Foo branch of Ngan Lung sells 10.000 cups every day. Millions of cups everyday in Hongkong, I suppose. Here the milk-tea is part of the Unesco intangible cultural Hong Kong heritage. For sure a great deal and a huge business. But, sorry to say that, milk-tea has nothing to do with health. “No matter if you are having bread, biscuits, fried noodles, barbecued pork or congee, they all go well with milk-tea”, they say over here. But nobody is mentioning that milk contains casein, and that tea is full of caffein. Nobody is mentioning that tea and coffee are robbing the body of vitamins B1 and B2, and that they also destroy iron, causing further anemia and weakness in the long term.

DRAMATIC GROWTH OF GENITAL CANCER

In addition to all that, I am learning from the Honkong television that the prostate cancer for male and the breast cancer for females are in alarming growth. No surprising at all, as long as people do not change rigorously their life-style and their daily choices.

ANOTHER BLOW TO HONG KONG HEALTH REPUTATION

Always from TV I learned yesterday that the best awards for efficient advertising were assigned with great emphasis and honour “due to high product quality and innovation” to 1) Nescafe, 2) McDonald’s, 3) Heineken. What do you expect me to say? Things are going definitely in the wrong way, in the wrong direction. Meanwhile, walking around the busy streets of Hongkong, the picture of Gordon Ramsay, famous gourmet of Master Chef, can be seen exposed in every corner of the city, and he is a symbol of meat eating, of course.

ZERO TOILETS IN THE MTR STATIONS

The problem of prostate cancer seems worrying lots of people indeed. “Be on guard about prostate cancer, a very common disease in Hong Kong, better you have a check”, this has become the most repeated spot by the Cancer Fund, probably another form of lucrative business. No wonder. Has Hong Kong yes or not one of the most efficient and frequented MTR-Mass Transit Railways in the world, with lots of shops and millions of passengers per day and, unbelievably, zero public toilets? This means simply two things: 1) Passengers are compelled to adopt a junk food diet, a dried and dead diet, and surely not a fruit diet or a watermelon diet or a fresh coconut diet, which would mean a fast metabolism, 2) Passengers are compelled to keel urines longer in their body, with obvious damage to all body and to prostate in particular.

THE PROBLEM IS MUCH MORE SERIOUS THAN A PROSTATE CANCER

The real problem in Hong Kong, as in the entire world, cannot be limited or reduced to prostate cancer. It is a matter of poor and distorted nutrition and consequent slow metabolism, a matter of hypertension, a matter of heart sufferance, a matter of fat blood, a matter of diabetes, a matter of kidney failure and of various kinds of cancer.

MY BOOKS AND ARTICLES ARE THERE TO BE READ

I have published various books on this, and also 6000 articles on www.valdovaccaro.com. Actually I had 2 conferences in Hong Kong in 2011, I opened a internet website as Health Horizons and I printed 200 copies of my book Natural Nutrition in English (available in Chinese), but they’re still laying in some hopeless room in Hong Kong. Evidently I am not defending meat, I am not defending McDonald’s, I am not defending coffee and tea, and all this does not make me easily acceptable. But I still hope that Honk Kong will finally become wiser and more open to listen and to learn, to compare and to evaluate, to think and rethink in order to make finally the right choice.
