A GREAT JOEL FUHRMAN ON DIABETES AND ON CANCER
On 5 November 2017 we had in Imola-Bologna-Italy a skype contact-interview-lesson with a great teacher of our times, dr Joel Fuhrman, famous American Doctor, about diabetes and general health. I met dr Fuhrman in Baltimora-Usa in 1995, when he was one of the youngest ANHS (American Natural Hygiene Society) teachers. In the last 20 years he has positively treated 10.000 patients suffering of diabetes. In this article I’ll provide the contents of our mentioned communication with him, plus the basically points of his book “The End of Diabetes”, and obviously my own points of view on the entire matter.

The public medical system is winning its futile battle for the glycemic control, but is losing its basic war against diabetes itself, while the winning formula exists, and it is called “Cause Elimination”, that is Stop All Bad Habits which bring to personal disaster and to national bankruptcy.
HYPERGLYCEMIA, GLYCOSURIA AND DEHYDRATION
In both cases of diabetes 1 and 2 doctors claim a lack of insulin, an insensibility or a resistance to insulin hormone which is causing glycemic increase with too much glucose sugar in the urines or glycosuria, with initial symptoms of frequent urination, lethargy, excess of hunger and of thirst. HIGH GLYCEMIA AND HIGH KETONES BRING TO ACIDOSIS
When the body cannot utilise the energy reserves of glucose, the free fatty acids increase. Therefore brain and heart use ketones and acetones as emergency fuel. Glucose and acetones accumulate in the blood and cause ketoacedosis, a combination of high glycemia and high ketosis, a dangerous situation of acidosis and of dehydration which is potentially fatal especially in diabetes-1, but often also in diabetes-2. 80% of deaths in diabetic patients is due to hardening of arteries and in particular to coronary heart disease, or to Clinton effect as they often call it in the States.
REDUCING SYMPTOMS CAUSES DOUBLE DAMAGE
The tendency to give medicines and drugs for all kind of body disturbances is the central problem of today’s Medical System. Doctors intend to reduce glycemia, to reduce cholesterol, reduce arterial pressure, reduce all other symptoms. But unfortunately curing diabetes by drugs provokes a double damage. The first is that controlling glycemia by using insulin is risky and inconclusive. It does not improve in anyway the diabetic condition and, moreover, gives the patients a false sense of security, convincing them that their glycemia under control is synonymous for health, making them unaware that there are no shortcuts for health and that only a reorganisation of their life-style is absolutely essential to save life and recover.
LOSING OF RESPONSIBILITY AND MOTIVATION
Going to the doctor and obtaining a pill for all sort or problems has got a devastating effect. It destroys avery sense of personal liability and weakens the motivation to reconquer health by using your own interior forces. In this way there is a justification and an alibi to eat as before, while the insidious diabetic mechanism goes on damaging liver, kidneys and heart, while the diabetic condition goes on inevitably to worsen.
THE BEST MEDICINE IS A REORGANISATION OF YOUR LIFE-STYLE
The 70% of adults with diabetes die of infarct and ictus. The surprising and scandalous fact is that doctors and diabetologists are teaching their patients to adapt they lives to diabetes, to live with diabetes, because for the conventional medicine this disease can only be followed and checked but never really solved in a stable way. But the facts are proving that medical thinking is totally wrong. A rational approach, an hygienist approach is able to win the diabetic condition. It does not exist in the world anyhow any drug, any special product, any medical system which can equal the effects of a reorganisation of your life-style and of nutritional habits.
MONTIGNAC EXPERIENCE SHOULD TEACH
My observation as author of this article, is that all those mentioned mistakes were done also by the French nutritionist Michel Montignac, an avalanche of books sold in France and Europe and badly dead recently. Lots of money gained and accumulated by miseducating people to eat more meat and animal proteins in order to reduce glycemia. Insulin is a drug which develops the formation of atherosclerosis plaques, which is the real cause of cardiovascular heart disease and strokes, the real cause of fat accumulation, of hyper cholesterol and of various kinds of cancer, including prostate cancer, uterus cancer and breast cancer. SAD America diet is common nowadays in all industrialised countries and it is very dangerous for everybody, being a diabetogenic diet, a cancerous diet, a lethal diet especially for diabetes-1 patients.
FIVE DIFFERENT DRUGS A DAY IS THE AVERAGE INTAKE OF AMERICANS OVER 65
More than 90% of diabetics in Usa belong to diabetes-2, especially in subjects who do not exercise. In the past, when the wrong empty food was not available at any corner of the city, the diabetes did not exist. Today diabetes-2 is exploding as a giant world bomb wherever the population is exposed to industrially treated food. In Usa being overweight is the rule. Adults have the tendency to take drugs prescribed by doctors for heart, for diabetes, for cholesterol and hypertension. In fact, 51% of population over 65 take 5 or more drugs per day. But even the young adults fall in the same trap. We should consider that even 2-3 kg in excess on the average can cause a diabetic or a pre-diabetic condition. Even a small quantity of extra-fat can generate a diabetic crisis.
FAT DISACTIVATES INSULIN AND PROVOKES GLYCEMIC INCREASE
Diabetes-2 is due to increase of insulin-resistance and not surely to lack of insulin. Insulin works less efficiently in presence of fat. Giving insulin to overweight diabetics worse their state of health and makes them more fat and more diabetic. The body fat, the free fatty acids circulation in the blood, disactivate insulin and cause glycemic increase. They have got toxic effect and inhibit the production of energy by the muscular tissues.
A LARGER BELT CIRCUMFERENCE MEANS A SHORTER LIFE
If you have got 20 kg overweight, your organism requires to pancreas huge quantities of insulin, 10 times higher than people of normal weight. Health consists in reducing the peri-umbilical fat through a lower intake of empty calories, through a good plan of physical exercise, through a better sun exposition and a strong change of life-style towards hygienist prospects.
REDUCING GLYCEMIA UNDER 100 LEVEL BUT WITH ZERO DRUGS

ADA, world authority still dictating its pseudo-truths and pseudo-treatments to the entire planet, not only defends insulin at all levels, but declares also that it is impossible to normalise the badly obese and therefore, instead of giving the right instructions about how to lose weight in natural ways, it prescribes drugs and limits itself passively and cynically follow the disaster. Translated in poor and simple words, this ADA contorted and smoky language means that “the diets which we recommend at ADA o not work at all, therefore we prescribe drugs and we can only look at an irreversible and progressive worsening of all patients worldwide”.
MEDICAL DOCTORS LIVING IN FULL IGNORANCE
Doctors in America and il all continents, as long as they adopt such conventional clinic praxis, they are legally all right and nobody in the world can say anything on them. But in reality they are committing a continuous and unpunished crime, while they live in the middle of the darkest confusion and ignorance. They put in danger the life of their own patients. The fact is that 99% of medical doctors do not know which are the right nutritional indications to be given to the people, healthy or diseased. Final detail, the most efficient glycemic-reducing drugs are also the most dangerous and lethal in the long run.
LETHAL EFFECTS OF ANTI-GLYCEMIC DRUGS
Insulin and thiazoles drugs cause weight increase, legs swelling, macular edema and oftalmic disease. Sulfa-drugs as glypizide, glyburide and glymepiride are among the most commonly prescribed in case of diabetes, without considering that they cause an increase of mortality or 58-68% compared to who is taking prudentially and only metformine, and they cause an increase of mortality of over 100% compared to whom does not take any drug at all.
HYPER-NUTRIENT AND HYPO-CALORIC DIET
The best medicine for everybody, and particularly for diabetics,, is not based on drugs but rather in a diet rich in micronutrients and poor in calories, associated to a programme of exercises and to a health packet that only an expert and responsible health scientist, not medical, to ruined, not schematised by a deviated and spoiled official school as the majority of medical schools are, can indicate with profit and with clear and not manipulated results.
THE LESS INDICATED TO TALK ARE THE DIABETOLOGISTS, FIRST CAUSE OF THE PRESENT PLANETARY DISASTER
Reliable teachers to follow there are not that many, but they exist. I am not luckily a medical doctor and I am not a curer, but I am collecting remarkable and proved success because I am following the right track. But people as Fuhrman deserve particular faith because of their brave belonging to the Hygienist Movement. They were able to maintain themselves far away from medical manipulations. Also Robert Pritikin, owner of the Longevity Centers in Miami-Florida and Santa Monica-California, deserves credit. He has absorbed a great heritage of anti-fat culture from his father Nathan Pritikin. Also a fitotherapic doctor as Stan Malstrom can be excellent teacher. He promoted all green juices, plus watercress and endives, artichokes and all other possible veggies with gradual inclusion of legumes and soups, plus sun exposition and regular daily exercise in order to recover completely from diabetes within 3 month’s time, or maximum 1 year’s time in the most difficult cases.
MEDICAL SYSTEM EXCELLENT IN PLACING DRUGS ONLY
Medical doctors go on prescribing drugs and imposing medicines. They are exhaling their hopeless remedies as the only possible solution. Grand part of the sanitary system is based nowadays with on ignorance, swims in ignorance, lives and grows in ignorance.
THE MARKET IS FLOADED WITH VERY INSIDIOUS DIETS
The bad information plays obviously a very important role. The market is flooded with all sort of crazy diets, from Zone, to Mediterranean, to Blood Groups, to Atkins, to Dukan, to Tisanoreica, to Life 120, to Paleodiets loaded with legends and errors, unable to understand the structural, biochemical an mental design of human body.
HERE WE ARE TALKING OF NUTRITIONAL EXCELLENCE PROVED BY STABLE AND SAFE RESULTS
Nutritional excellence is not necessarily based on total exclusion of animal derived products, but diets must in all cases be very rich in food of vegetable origin and of high nutritional density. Vegetable Food that should represent the 90% of the entire caloric intake. We made it clear that there is no decisive and appreciable advantage in including fish food in our diet. The healthy Omega3 can be obtained by almonds, nuts, avocado, seeds, seaweeds.
NO WHITE MEAT AND NO RED MEAT
No transgression is allowed towards white or red meat of any kind. The damages of red meat, apart horrors and sufferance, derive exactly from the eme-iron which for years has been recommended as a healthy resource by the steak eaters, while such meat is causing more hypertension, more diabetes, higher mortality. The non-use iron of veggie food used to be undervalued for its supposed scarse assimilability, while the low and slow absorption is today regarded as a high quality of food.
A STRONG LIMITATION TO CHEESE AND EGGS
Also cheese and eggs are not ideal for diabetics as they worsen the glycemia and increase heart diseases. Eggs represent a temptation for many, especially when we feel a lack of calories. But taking even 1 egg per day means already a major risk of developing diabetes-2, prostate cancer and breast cancer.
AGAIN ON SAD DIET, HORRIBLY PATHOGENIC
As mentioned before, more than 85% od SAD diet is composed by food prepared with hyper-caloric material with low level of micronutrients, especially animal staff, milk, cheese, sweets, followed by sweetened drinks as Cola. All things which increase weight, cholesterol, blood pressure, homocistein, diabetes. When we follow instead a diet rich of aromas and natural colours, we get a symphony of nutritional factors which offer a much better cellular functionality, a better resistance to fatigue and to stress.
CONGESTION OF FREE RADICALS AND OF AGE TOXINS
If instead we take hyper-caloric food wth low contents of protective micronutrients, our cells become congested with refusal products as free radicals, oxidative stress and final sub-products of the advanced glycation or AGE, Advanced Glycation End-Products. AGE are the toxins responsible of all neurological damages, of sclerosis and of cecity. This accumulation happens more vastly in people taking junk food and junk drinks, in people taking medicines and integrators.
THE KEY FOR A LONG LIFE
The only solution to live a long life, and in particular a life free from any diabetic disease, os to weigh less and to keep in our cells a high level of micronutrients. The Americans take 62% of their calories from products industrially transformed, often enriched or better impoverished, against the Liebig law of minimum absorbance. And then they take a 25% of their calories from meat and animal derived products. All pseudo-food, very poor and anti-oxidants and in precious fito-chemicals. In Italy the situation is not better. If you stand for a while near the main exit of a supermarket and observe what people put inside their shopping trolleys you will simply be astonished. This happens in Italy and all over the industrial world. That is the real point. Nobody could plan a better way to exterminate the population of Usa, of Italy, of China, of the entire planet.
THE MANIPULATED LEGEND OF THE PROTEIN SUBSTANCE
Too many people still believe that an ideal diet should include animal potions in order to be healthy under a nutritional point of view. “You need substance and not talks. You need substance and not green leaves made of valueless water”. That was the way mothers and grand mothers talked years ago. They were very wrong unfortunately. Today we know that green leaves have got more nutritional power than lard, ham and other animal cuts of any kind.
THE DEFECT OF ABOUNDING WITH MACRONUTRIENTS
Magazines and commercial diets are diffusing the myth that a major intake of animal proteins helps losing weight, and that carbohydrates instead would make impossible any reduction. In general the westerners are used to take more macronutrients than what really needed, and especially more proteins. The facts prove that proteins are everywhere and especially in raw food. It is impossible to have a shortage in proteins unless our diet is sufficient in calories and in other nutrients. When we adopt a diet rich in raw green leaves and lightly cooked legumes we have got the maximum of vegetable proteins possible, complete of fibres, antioxidants and protective fito-chemicals.
WHAT WE REALLY NEED IS A HIGH QUALITY DIET
But let us review the main concepts. The 4 macronutrients are water, carbohydrates, proteins and fats, and they supply the calories in order to get our energy for maintaining and growth. But if we exaggerate and assume too many calories, all this causes a weight increase, chronic diseases and premature death. The secret is not counting the calories because the caloric counting does not work. The secret is to concentrate all our attention on micronutrients as they are essential for our organism in eliminating the internal dirt, in repairing all damages and in sustaining all physiologic functions.
MICRONUTRIENTS SOURCE OF HEALTH AND LONGEVITY
Micronutrients are natural fifo-chemicals and represent a source of health and of long life. They include 30 elements, that is 14 vitamins and 16 essential minerals having impact on our wellbeing. Vitamins and minerals were discovered 70 years ago, while for the 3rd components called fito-chemicals the individuation belongs to our present days and their number is increasing every day with new discoveries.
ELABORATION OF AN ANDI INDEX
Fuhrman has invented his own index called ANDI (Aggregate Nutrient Density Index) which gives to each food a max value 1000 on the base of the equation “Nutrients-per-calorie”, an index which simplifies the highest nutritional value. In this formula are included fibres, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, zinc, copper, manganese, selenium, vitamin A, betacarotene, alpha carotene, lycopene, lutein, zeaxantin, vitamin E, vitamin C, Thiamin B1, Riboflavin B2, Niacin B3, Pantothenic Acid B5, Piridossine B6, Coline B8, Folic Acid B9, vitamin B12, vitamin K, Fitosterols, Glucosinolates, Orac Index. Using the ANDI index is simple. It helps people to rent themselves and to consume foods with higher contents of precious micronutrients, the known and the unknown ones.
ALL WE NEED IS RICHNESS AND VARIETY OF MICRONUTRIENTS
The golden medal belongs clearly to plants from the vegetable garden. No other food is able to reach the value of veggies, the ANDI index of veggies. The green leaves have got the best reputation, with the lowest percentage of cancer, of hearth disease and of diabetes. It is not sufficient to avoid trans-fats and saturated fats, and it is not sufficient to respect a low glycemic index. It is not enough even to reduce animal derived foods in favour of veggies crudities. A really healthy nutrition must simply be rich of micronutrients. A richness to be tailored according to individual needs in continuous variation. We often talk of CMA or Comprehensive Micronutrient Adequacy.
HIGH GLYCEMIC INDEX FOOD CREATES DANGEROUS UPS AND DOWNS
It is proved that diets with high glycemic index, rich in white flour, white rice, white bread, white pasta, sweets, industrially transformed food, have all detrimental effects on glycemia and also on lipotoxemia. The high-glycemic food is digested and absorbed too rapidly and thus it generates fluctuation of sugars in the blood, going easy from hyperglycemia (or diabetes) to hypoglycemia. Low glycemic food and low insulin index, with their typical slow digestion, cause limited and gradual increase of glycemia and insulin, with beneficial effects on health.

Here then we can see cabbage and watercress at the max value of 1000 points, followed by pak choi at 865, spinaches 707, rucola or rickets 604, lettuce 510, Bruxelles cabbage 490, carrots 458, broccoli 315, mushroom 238, red pepper 265, asparagus 205, tomatoes 186, strawberries 182, blackberries 171, blueberries 132, grapes 119,, melon 118, onion 109, orange 98, tofu 82, all legumes 30, avocado 28, potatoes 28, white bread 16, olive oil 10, cocacola 1.
THE BAD EXAMPLES OF ROBERT ATKINS AND BARRY SEARS
Among the worst examples we can mention are Barry Sears and his Zone Diet, where he is against beans, papaya and carrots due to their supposed high glycemic index (carrots are at level 35). Same mistake in Atkins, world ruins and disaster for millions of people, as he excluded all fruits and vegetables, totally forgetting about their well known anti-cancer properties. If carrots are consumed raw, their glycemic index is further lowered. Same thing happens also to potatoes when lightly cooked, precious also for diabetics.
WHAT REALLY MATTERS IS THE GLYCEMIC LOAD
The more accurate value is not the GI Glycemic Index but the GL Glycemic Load. To understand the difference, a baked potato has got 90 of GI and 29 of GL, integral rice 58 GI and 24 GL, half a cup or raisins 64 GI and 19GL, mango 51 GI and 11 GL, carrot 39 GI and only 3 GL. What is the GL? GL takes into account the effects of a food basing everything on the quantity really consumed. Consequently it is the most adapt parameter to check the real daily consumption of food. While GI is the check of carbohydrate quality, GL represents the sugar quantity really consumed at each meal. The GL has a role in the planning of an optimal diet for contrasting diabetes.
A HEALTHY DIET SHOULD CONSIDER ALL ASPECTS
Important to remind that GI and GL are both important, but still cannot be the main factors of a healthy diet. They are only two of the many aspects to evaluate. A diet with high density of nutrients already possesses a favourable GL, a reduced quantity of saturated fats, a high contents of fibres and of fifo-chemicals, and it is remarkably alkaliser. But even all that is insufficient. Even the Micronutrient Density Index ANDI is not the unique criteria to determine health. It exist also the insulin index, a parameter which shows the percentage of insulin as answer to the ingestion of food. It represents the direct effect of a food on insulin, offering a precise evaluation on the insulin answer.
NUMERIC RESULTS WITH MINIMUM AND MAX VALUES
Here are the results in terms of relation between insulin load and glycemic load according to class of food, with some examples of specific food: 1) Fruits average 124, minimum banana 108 and max orange 166. 2) Oven products average 261, min 113 doughnuts and max 483 croissants. 3) Snacks average 191, min pop corn 109 and max Mars 218. 4) Animal proteins average 585, min eggs 135 and max beef 1583. 5) Carbohydrates cooked average 106, min integral rice 58 and max white pasta 156. 6) Breakfast cereals average 92, min oats soup 74 and max 118 Muesli.
BEEFSTEAK, CRACKERS AND CROISSANTS, THAT IS PROTEINS AND FATS UNDER ACCUSATION
As we can clearly see, the food rich in animal proteins have got an insulin answer much higher than the glycemic answer. They push pancreas to produce lots of insulin even without having carbohydrates in the diet and zero glucose in the diet!Both crackers and croissants are oven products very rich in fats and actually they show a high insulin answer which is 3-5 times higher than the glycemic answer.
THE DIETS POOR IN MICRONUTRIENTS CREATE REAL TOXEMIA

They need lots of veggies and legumes, very limited eggs and cheese for those who cannot stand only greens and for those who live in very cold climate. Some kind of exception is allowed also for some fish in favour of those who live in faraway islands and cannot get enough as he should from coconuts, bananas, avocados, berries, seaweed, potatoes and other vegetables.
HIGH PROTEIN DIETS AND LOW NATURAL CARBOHYDRATES BRING TO CANCER
Some diabetics have learned the perverted logic that, if refined sugar and refined cereals and other hyperglycaemic food increase the levels of glucose and triglycerids, the right thing is to eat more animal food in order to compensate the refined carbohydrates. But animal food can sometimes offer a short term benefit in the glucose control and on the weight reduction only. But careful, these animal food diets do not carry any anti-oxidants, any fibres, any vitamin C, any fito-chemicals. Therefore they bring heavy risks of cancer, heart disease, kidney insufficiency. Suggesting to diabetics a diet based on animal foods means increasing their diabetic nephropathy or chronic kidney disease.
KETOGENIC, DIABETOGENIC AND CANCEROGENIC DIETS
The ketogenic diets are the most dangerous. Even a short period with diets ad Atkins, Dukan, Life 120, Tisanoreica, Lemme, Zone, South Beach, Blood Groups, Mediterranea and similar can be very dangerous. In Atkins and simil-Atkins diets many deaths happened for cardiac arrhythmia induced by electrolytic unbalancement. Obvious that the danger is higher when you prolong the use of these diets. All diets with meat are causing insurgence and worsening of diabetes and cancer, never the opposite of this.
FAR AWAY OF THE ABATTOIR PALADINES
The best way to invert diabetes is to strictly avoid animal proteins, and to avoid at the same time diets based on refined carbohydrates and hyper-cooked carbohydrates. “I have seen many diabetic patients that, under medical advice, followed high-protein content diets. Most of them ended up developing heart disease and kidney disease. They have suffered and they badly died because of medical disinformation and of specialistic disinformation”, is the comment of Joel Fuhrman. The pushers of high protein diets are widely present in books, magazines, internet and particularly in all television networks of the world. The abattoir paladins like to do a brain-wash of human mind, not with a shampoo, but a bath in a mix of blood and saturated fats!
MEAT DIETS HAVE NO CREDIBILITY AND NO GOOD RESULTS
The medical magazine “Annals of Internal Medicine” already in 2004 showed that 40% of the subjects following Atkins diet got a dramatic increase of cholesterol. The target of every intelligent diet is to obtain a cholesterol value below 100 without drugs, and this never occurs with a meat based diet.
SURPRISING TEST ON THE BLOOD FLUX TO CORONARIES
A fundamental and unique experiment published in 2000 tested exactly what happens to the arteries of who follows a low carbohydrate diet and a high protein contents. All done by utilising the Spect Tomography and check directly the flux of blood to coronaries. The results were shocking and very disturbing. Who followed a vegetarian diet with whole foods showed a net regression of the heart disease. The arteries of the tested subjects, partially obstructed, got perfectly clean, and the flux of blood to the heart through the coronaries resulted increased by 40%.
MORTAL DROP OF FLUX WITH THE HIGH-PROTEIN DIETS
The subjects following an hyper-protein diet on the contrary showed a 40% drop of blood flux, with a combined difference 40+40%=80%. The unique scientific study about high-protein diets has established that a meat diet, a high protein diet, is extremely detrimental and dangerous.
ATKINS AND PALEODIET HAVE TOTALLY LOST ALL ATTRACTION
In consequence of studies like this, Atkins diet and all kind of paleodiets have lost all scientific attraction and interest. But then, for a series of factors which go from human stupidity, mental laziness, money hunger, new horrible diets come out every day with different names and same concepts, making new followers among vulnerable and ignorant people. Homo Homini Lupus, ancient Romans used to say, meaning that men act as wolves towards other men.
PATHOLOGIC ATTRACTION TOWARDS CADAVERINE, AS LONG AS THERE ARE POOR ANIMALS EASY TO KILL
Certain people is attracted by detrimental diets. They use any possible excuse to justify their faulty nutrition attitudes. Taking away the smell of death coming out from certain restaurant cuisines and from certain plates, remains quite a difficult task,
THE PROOFS IN OUR FAVOUR ARE SIMPLY OVERWHELMING
The fans of paleodiets based on meat offer a distorted and manipulated vision of pre-history by affirming that a nutritional regime based on 50-80% of animal food is the best solution to get well-being and longevity. Paul Crawford, president of the fund, said that “We suspected from years that high-protein reductive diets could have a devastating impact on kidneys, but now we have got scientific confirmation that our suspects were motivated”. Diabetic nephropathy is terrible. The extra-efforts requested to kidneys can cause irreversible damages. The risk for who makes body-building and for those frequent ing the gyms for improving their muscular mass are enormous. Renal stress and consequent hyper-filtration reduce the functionality of this very delicate organ. And there is no cure against renal failure, apart dialysis and renal transplant.
DIALYSIS IS NOT DESIRABLE EVEN FOR THE WORST ENEMY
Why talking so much? Why writing hundred of articles on diabetes and cancer and on kidney malfunctions, while receiving even insults from the active enemies of health and well-being? Simply because we are in front of the worst maladies of the world. Simply because the dramas and the tears at the dialysis spots look like the pre-chamber or the waiting-rome for hell. These sickness should never occur and should never exist. We are very sensible to all this.
TODAY WE SHOULD LIVE BETTER AND LONGER THAN OUR ANCESTORS
There is a vaste scientific literature for defining Nutritional Excellence. Scientific data have made lot of progress. Today we can dispose of better understanding about food, about digestion mechanisms, about cells, about metabolism, about bacteria and virus provided we stay off the enormous ignorance of conventional medicine. Today we can dispose of a diet rich in fito-chemical compound taken from a wide variety of natural and vegetal resources. A diet capable of guaranteeing a long and healthy life to humanity, while in the past this was impossible for our ancestors. Dietetic Excellence can stop diabetes and the main other diseases. Losing weight can be reached even smoking cigarettes or smelling cocaine, which are clearly out of any healthy prospective.
THE RIGHT PROTEINS COME FROM VEGETABLE GARDENS AND NEVER FROM KILLING FIELDS
The old story that vegetable proteins are incomplete has been repeated everywhere non-stop. Too big the money-gain involved and nobody likes to tell the truth in governments, institutions, media. The American people in particular have been brutally cheated, brutally induced to take the road of dietetic suicide. The sanitary regime has taught for years that animal proteins mean good food, and that health can only come from the killing fields, from the abattoirs and not from the gardens. The American Diet, rich in meat and casein, well represented by the Fast Food Empires of McDonald’s, Kentucky Fried Chicken KFC, BurgerKing, by the kingdom of big Mac and French Fries, by the dominion of cheap ice creams followed by Coke has ended up in very high cost for each American and for the entire community, provoking an unprecedented epidemic situation of heart disease, of diabetes, of tumours and cancer to colon, to prostate, to chest, to pancreas and to all parts of the human body!
SOMATOMEDIN AND SOMATOTROPHIN
There are other serious reasons to become vegan or almost-vegan. A quantity even small and limited of animal proteins causes a sudden increase of the hormon IGF-1 (insulin-like growth factor), known also with the name of Somatomedin, a hormon of protein nature with a structure similar to the one of insulin. Its production takes place mostly in the liver, and it is stimulated by the growth hormon produced by the hypophysis or the pituitary gland. This hormon derived from white and red meat is connected to tumours growths. The mechanism of somatotrophin obtained instead from sun accumulated in our retina, by nitrogen accumulated in the pituitary gland, and by melatonin accumulated in the pineal gland, does not give any adverse effects, as demonstrated by the air-food of breatharian people and of fakirs.
SOLUBLE AND INSOLUBLE FIBRES ALL GOOD FRIENDS OF EVACUATION
Legumes, green leaves vegetables, seeds and fruits are all rich in soluble fibres. Soluble fibre supply our intestines with a material similar to gelatine, not absorbed and not giving any calorie. Soluble fibres are very important because they slow down and reduce the absorbance of glucose and helps lowering cholesterol levels. Legumes are particularly high in this kind of fibres. Even insoluble fibres, as the ones of cereals are basically, as they increase the volume of the fecal mass and help regulating evacuation.
STARCH-RESISTANT AND HEALTHY BACTERIAL FERMENTATION
For years nutritionists and scientists have believed that there are only 2 kind of fibres, soluble and insoluble. Today we know that there is also a carbohydrate which behaves as sa fibre and which is called “Starch-Resistant”. It passes the entire intestine without being absorbed and assimilated, reaching the colon and becoming a pre-biotic, precious and fundamental for feeding the growth of beneficial bacteria, of aerobic and symbiotic bacteria which reside in the colon. This process of starch degradation by the action of bacteria is called fermentation and produces a kind of fats called SCFA or Short Chain Fatty Acids. In other words, the Starch-Resistant is not converted in risky simple sugar but in precious and innocent fat.
STARCH-RESISTANT ASSOCIATED TO BUTYRATE
Starch-Resistant is important for health and has got beneficial effects on diabetes. Starch-Resistant is associated mainly to a kind of SCFA called Butyrate. The Butyrate offers remarkable advantages: 1) Gives strong protection against colon cancer, 2) Increases the absorbance of minerals as calcium and magnesium, 3) Improves the sensibility to insulin or lessens the insulin-resistance, 4) Slows down the glycolysis or the split of glycogen deposited in the liver, delaying the sensation of hunger and facilitating the loss of weight.
BREST CANCER AND PROSTATE CANCER CAUSED BY ANIMAL PROTEINS, BY REFINED CARBOHYDRATES AND TRANSFORMED FOOD
Beans, peas, lentils rarely appear on the table of Americans. Sugar, white flour, white bread, white rice, white pizza-base and white pasta bring not only to diabetes but also to major risk of cancer. There are precise ad detailed studies on that. There is an increase of more than 200% of breast cancer risk for females consuming 50% of their calories in animal proteins, in refined carbohydrates and transformed food. To be clear, this food is junk food at all levels and should disappear from our nutritional choices.
THE SPROUTS OFFER SUPERIOR NUTRITIONAL QUALITIES
When you consume a meal made mainly of greens, veggies, onions, mushrooms, all sort of legumes, in the body there are happening interesting things, biochemical events bringing therapeutical effects and anti-diabetic effects. Legumes are the best source of resistant fibres. They are also the most economic and nutrient natural food in absolute. Sported legumes and sprouted cereals offer nutritional qualities and cheaper nutritional costs. If you put them a night in water, and then you drain and clean and rewash and refrain them everyday for 4-6 days, you will easily get a precious amount of sprouts, cheap and rich, in any season of the year.
CHEWING WELL AND EATING SLOWLY
Eating legumes in any occasion, but go gradually if you are not used to them, and chew them well, in order to avoid excessive formation of gas. A good lunch can always be a big plate of raw salad, of tender and fresh vegetables with half ripe avocado, followed by a soup of veggies and legumes, of a plate of broccoli and potatoes, or rice with fried veggies and beans, Thailand or Vietnamese or Indonesian style, without any egg.
BETTER MAKING SOME QUESTION IN FRONT OF A MEAL
The food I am going to eat is a source of calories? Yes it is. Has it got vegetal and natural and integral origin? Is it rich in fibres, in anti-oxidants and in fito-chemicals? Does it contain not only well known nutrients but also an abundance of nutrients still to be discovered? Does it come from a vegetable garden treated with care? Or does it come from an industrial source, or from a killing field? These are the questions to pose.
NUTS AND SEEDS ARE RICH IN ARGININE
Nuts and seeds are full of nutrients. They contain lignin, bioflavonoids, minerals, anti-oxidants, vegetal proteins, fibres, fito-chemical compounds, fitosterols, bio-active nutrients as polyphenols and arginine which cannot be found in other food and that prevent the inflammation of blood vessels. The consume of nuts strongly reduce the insurgence of deadly cardio-arrhythmia, or atrial fibrillation or ventricular tachicardia. Nuts and seeds are rich in arginine which has properties of vessel-dilatation, and relax the vascular walls to prevent coagulation. Oils instead should be reduced at the minimum level. One spoon of oil means 120 calories.

Changing mentality can be a very hard challenge, as long as medical doctors remain under the protective umbrella of the pharmaceutical influence and power, as long as media and politics and governments and schools go on supplying wrong information about bacteria, virus, vaccines, drugs, chemio, cancer, diabetes, as long as we are assaulted by wrong and misleading information on everything.
LIST OF GREAT FOOD FOR DIABETICS
“We have got to consume less calories than what the body can burn”, used to say Robert Rizza, endocrinologist at Mayo Clinic and ex-president of ADA-American Diabetic Association. Nothin could be more false. Life or death of a diabetic depend on the quality of his food and by his behavioural choices, and not on the quantity only. It is fundamental that the diabetic eats the following: 1) All kind of raw vegetables including beets, carrots, lettuce, radicchio, tomatoes, cucumbers, 2) All kind of green leaves vegetables, raw or slightly cooked, 3) Tomatoes, pepper, eggplants, mushrooms, zucchini, leaks, onions, garlic, peas, okra, radish, string peas, cauliflowers, Bruxelles sprouts, 4) Legumes every day (150 grams at lunch and 150 grams at dinner approx), 5) Watery fruits for breakfast and in the late afternoon, especially guava, pommegranades, pomelo, grapefruit, blueberries and all berries, apple, kumquat, longan, leichi, 6) Nuts and seeds 30 grams per day approx.
THE METHOD TO DISACTIVATE AND WIN DISEASE DOES EXIST
The most powerful thing you can do to improve your health is to eat more vegetables with green leaves. The American consume meaningless quantities. Should they start eating 3-4 times the present amounts, the percentage of various diseases in Usa would drop to the bottom.
MANY VEGETABLES AND LOT OF FRUITS, WITH ABUNDANT CRUCIFEROUS PLANTS
There are 300 world tests showing that a high consume of veggies guarantees a preventive effect against cancer and that cruciforms plants in particular offer the best protection. BRILLIANT INTERVENTIONS BY DR ALBERTO DONZELLI AND DR CLAUDIA POPPI
This memorable day of 5 November in Iola-Italy included also the conference of dr Donzelli, 43 years in public sanity and deep researches on diabetes, showing that the most efficient diets against diabetes and other metabolic diseases are the vegan-crudest tendential diets. DRAMATIC DIMENSIONS OF DIABETES IN ITALY
In the same day of Sunday 5 November, there was a long article on diabetes published by Corriere della Sera, mentioning that SID, Società Italiana of Diabetology confirms the dramatic numbers of diabetes in Italy: 3.9 million officially diagnosed (5% diabetes-1 and 95% diabetes-2), 1 million diabetes-2 non yet diagnosed and not yet on medical care, and 2.6 millions with difficulty in maintaining glycemic at normal values, or people in condition of pre-diabetes. Therefore 8 million of diabetics and pre-diabetics in a total population of 60 million, that is 1 diabetic every 6 people going to become soon 1 every 3 as in Usa!
HIGH-PROTEIN DIETS ARE CAUSING KETOACIDOSIS AND KIDNEY FAILURE ALSO FOR SID
There is an alarm also for SID, through his president Giorgio Sesti. Some of the things he says are obvious and shared. The most powerful leaders in the world should never talk about democracy, justice and freedom, as long as they maintain people in poverty, depression and ignorance. All medical authorities should stop talking on major diseases, as they are more than ever on the pay books of Big Pharma and of the meat industries. Panasonic should close its mouth about vertical hydroponic cultures obtained with artificial leds and in total absence of solar irradiation.
